Reducing Fire Risk

If you own forested property, visit the Cascadia Conservation District website at www.cascadiacd.org for information on cost-share and grant-funded programs to improve forest health and reduce high-severity fire.

Even without a forest, Cascadia CD offers a grant-funded incentive program for home hardening.  There is a national organization called Firewise which has additional information on protecting your home from embers and fire; visit their website at www.firewise.org.
